Today, NVIDIA has released a new GeForce Game Ready driver (version 617.14) that includes optimizations for four major imminent PC game launches: CONTROL Resonant (September 24), The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Remastered (September 29), Aion 2 (September 30 advanced access, October 5 regular access), and Gears of War: E-Day (October 1 advanced access, October 6 regular access).
CONTROL Resonant is out in two days with support for the whole DLSS 4.5 and RTX suite: Super Resolution, Dynamic Multi Frame Generation (up to 6X), Ray Reconstruction, path-traced direct and indirect illumination, reflections, outdoor shadows, and more. NVIDIA’s official benchmarks put the flagship GPU, the GeForce RTX 5090, at up to 320 FPS at 4K and up to 480 FPS at 1080p. The game certainly looks amazing, as I noted in my review, though it suffers from pacing issues. Hopefully, this driver will fix them.

CD PROJEKT RED is launching the free Remastered update for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt on September 29. The patch is set to introduce plenty of improvements, such as an overhauled skill system, refined animations and combat mechanics, cross-platform mod compatibility, meditation features, and an enhanced photo mode. For NVIDIA GeForce RTX users, the update adds path tracing technology, DLSS 4.5 Ray Reconstruction and Super Resolution, improved Frame Generation with reduced latency, and Dynamic Multi Frame Generation up to 6X on RTX 50 Series GPUs.
NC’s MMORPG sequel debuts globally on September 30 for Founder’s Pack holders, while free-to-play users will have to wait until October 5 to get in. Built on Epic’s Unreal Engine 5, AION 2 delivers a large, seamless world to explore with aerial flight capabilities and will debut with DLSS 4.5 Super Resolution and Multi-Frame Generation support for GeForce RTX graphics cards. You can read my recent article based on NC’s gamescom 2026 presentation and subsequent Q&A, in which the developers confirmed to Wccftech that they still plan to support NVIDIA DLSS 5 later on.
As for Gears of War: E-Day, The Coalition’s prequel to the original Gears of War launches with DLSS Super Resolution, Dynamic Multi Frame Generation and NVIDIA Reflex, alongside ray-traced Lumen global illumination and MegaLights shadows. The game also features NVIDIA RTX Mega Geometry, enabling higher-detail ray tracing of Unreal Engine 5’s Nanite geometry. This will be the first non-Remedy game to ship with RTX Mega Geometry support, so it’ll be interesting to see how the tech adapts to the different engine. The official PC specs are also surprisingly tame, despite the advanced technology included.

In addition to the GeForce Game Ready driver launch and the DLSS games news,NVIDIA has rolled out a comprehensive suite of developer updates to enhance AI integration capabilities. Here’s an overview of the new stuff:
- NVIDIA ACE, which delivers pre-built AI models and development tools specifically engineered for creating intelligent, responsive, and conversational in-game characters, significantly broadens its model and platform compatibility. Recent enhancements strengthen the speech pipeline and inference framework, empowering developers to seamlessly deploy AI within their gaming applications. Key improvements include:
- NVIDIA Nemotron Speech 3.5 Streaming: A 600M-parameter Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR) model that converts player speech into text through a streaming-optimized architecture that prioritizes minimal latency without sacrificing precision.
- Qwen3 TTS: A 600M-parameter Text-to-Speech model that produces superior audio quality and enables custom fine-tuning capabilities.
- NVIDIA RTX Kit‘s newest SDK enhancements extend functionality for dense geometry handling, neural texture workflows, advanced lighting techniques, and sophisticated texture filtering.
- The RTX Mega Geometry SDK has recently been updated to version 2.0, introducing streaming capabilities for progressive level-of-detail cluster management across high-density mesh structures.
