Global Casting Search Begins for Naruto, Sasuke, and Sakura
The project is a Hollywood live action film adaptation of Masashi Kishimoto’s globally popular manga NARUTO. It will be directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, known for the film Spider-Man: Brand New Day. Lionsgate, which is producing the film, announced that it is accepting auditions from around the world for the main cast as preproduction begins in earnest.The roles currently being cast are the three central members of Team 7, Naruto Uzumaki, Sasuke Uchiha, and Sakura Haruno. Casting for other characters is also expected to proceed gradually in the future.

To mark the start of the casting call, Cretton posted on his social media account, “Kishimoto Sensei’s story has inspired generations of fans around the world. It is an honor to bring that world and those characters to the big screen for the first time as a live action film.
