An original dark fantasy TV anime titledMaiden Blood has been announced with a teaser trailer, teaser visual, and 2027 broadcast start date. It’s a Polygon Pictures production with a premise that involves blood, demons, a being called Evil God, and the first failure of the “Renewal of the World.”
Armageddon—the final war between good and evil, fought at the end of the world. Its destined outcome was overturned. “I don’t want to die.” That desperate wish, that hopeless human ego, gave power to the Evil God. Eight billion human beings were offered as sacrifices, and only a handful were allowed to survive, doomed to be toyed with and tormented as playthings of the Evil God. Since the dawn of the universe, the Frashokereti—the Renewal of the World—has been repeated countless times. But here, for the first time, it has failed.
