    Solo Leveling: KARMA | OFFICIAL

Anime Expo 2026 is three days into its four-day run at the Los Angeles Convention Center, and its most concentrated what-is-crypto-gaming-how-it-works-is-it-worth-playing-in-2026/” title=”What Is Crypto Gaming? How It Works & Is It Worth Playing in 2026″>gaming programming has not happened yet. Saturday, July 4, stacks two major developer panels in the same 50-minute window — the Solo Leveling: KARMA showcase at 10:30 AM PDT and the Arc System Works panel at 10:00 AM PDT — while Koei Tecmo’s Attack on Titan 3, freshly confirmed with a winter 2026 release window, screens its latest trailer daily at the AmiAmi booth. For fans of any of the three franchises involved, today is the setup. Saturday is the event.

The timing says something specific about where Japanese publishers have found it most productive to invest in Western reveals. Summer Game Fest filled June. Gamescom does not arrive until late August. Anime Expo, held every July 4 weekend, sits in the gap — and for publishers with anime-adjacent titles, it offers something a general gaming showcase cannot. Every person in that JW Marriott Diamond Ballroom on Saturday already cares about Solo Leveling before Netmarble shows them a single frame. That pre-sold audience quality is the commercial logic behind what looks, on paper, like a convention with gaming on the side.

Attack on Titan 3 Confirms Winter 2026 Window, Screens at AmiAmi Through July 5

The most complete gaming information at this year’s Anime Expo predates the convention. Koei Tecmo and Omega Force used a global broadcast called the “Next Scouting Report” on July 1 to confirm Attack on Titan 3 for a winter 2026 release on PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2, Xbox Series X|S, and PCe first to cover the anime’s complete story from the Survey Corps’ early battles through its conclusion

That broadcast delivered the game’s first in-engine gameplay footage, replacing the Summer Game Fest reveal trailer, which had leaned heavily on anime cinematics. Three new mode details defined what the game actually is as a design proposition. Exterior Scouting Missions let players take a custom Scout character beyond the walls to explore open terrain, construct supply bases, and expand humanity’s territory — but the ODM gear system, which requires fixed anchor points to generate momentum, is structurally less effective in the open terrain outside the walls than in the city and forest environments of the story’s first half. The mode layers in resource management across ODM fuel, blade durability, and squad morale, creating a survival loop that the core story missions do not require. Nine Titans appear as boss encounters for the first time in the series, and a new Casual Mode broadens accessibility.

The opening animation is in production at MAPPA, the studio behind the anime’s final season, directed by Arifumi Imai. It will not be included at launch and will instead arrive as a free post-release update — an unusual arrangement that reflects an unusually close integration between a licensed action game’s publisher and the anime studio behind its

For North American fans attending the convention, the AmiAmi exhibitor booth on the show floor is screening the latest Attack on Titan 3 trailer every day through Sunday. No new gameplay footage is expected from the convention floor itself — the AmiAmi presence functions as a physical first look at material already released online

Solo Leveling: KARMA Panel Is Saturday’s Main Gaming Event

Saturday’s headline gaming panel belongs to Netmarble. From 10:30 AM to 11:20 AM PDT at the JW Marriott Diamond Ballroom, “Solo Leveling: KARMA — Expanding Universe” will feature Aleks Le, the English voice of Sung Jinwoo, alongside members of the Netmarble Neo development team, with additional surprise guests confirmed. The panel will include new gameplay footage, character reveals not shown before, behind-the-scenes development context, live script readings by Le, and fan-focused giveaways

Solo Leveling: KARMA is a roguelite action RPG developed by Netmarble Neo, in development for mobile and PC. Its premise occupies a specific gap in the franchise’s existing canon: the 27-year war Sung Jinwoo fought against the Monarchs inside the Dimensional Gap is a period the original web novel and manhwa treated as an unexplored background detail. KARMA builds its entire narrative around it, with players recovering fragments of Jinwoo’s lost memories to restore the Broken Cup of Reincarnation — the artifact that frames the game’s roguelite progression structure.

The roguelite architecture means each run through KARMA’s isometric combat resets, but run-specific “Blessing” upgrades allow players to customize their approach with each attempt. Combat uses three weapon types — daggers, scythes, and bows — with evasion counters and the ability to summon iconic Shadows from the original series, including Igris, for coordinated attacks. A-1 Pictures is producing the game’s animated sequences. A release date has not been announced

The Anime Expo panel marks KARMA’s most significant Western showcase since its initial reveal at Anime Expo 2025. With no announcement yet confirmed for a third season of the Solo Leveling anime — Crunchyroll president Rahul Purini stated in June that creators are actively working on what comes next, without committing to a timeline — the game currently functions as the franchise’s primary active vehicle for new story content in the West

Arc System Works Brings Qliphah Updates and Demons’ Night Fever to Saturday

At 10:00 AM PDT on Saturday — overlapping with the KARMA panel — Arc System Works will hold its developer panel at the Los Angeles Convention Center. The session features Guilty Gear Strive producer Ken Miyauchi, Demons’ Night Fever producer Sohei Niikawa, and game director Satoshi Hirayae, who will deliver updates on Guilty Gear Strive, Demons’ Night Fever, and the recently revealed Qliphah in Providence’s Shadow

Qliphah in Providence’s Shadow (神貌のクリファ, Kamibou no Kurifa) was announced at the Arc System Works Showcase on June 24, 2026. Developed with studio UnitePlus under Satoshi Hirayae’s direction — whose previous credits include CRYMachina and Sword Art Online: Last Recollection — it is a Tactical Counter Timeline RPG set in a version of modern-day Shibuya where supernatural entities called Aberrations are bleeding into reality. Two protagonists, each carrying their own connection to these forces, investigate the source of the outbreak. The game is scheduled for release on September 24, 2026, on PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, Steam, and the Epic Games Store, and is currently available for pre-order on those platforms.

Demons’ Night Fever, developed by Arc System Works alongside SuperNiche and Drecom, also appears at the panel. Sohei Niikawa — who created the Disgaea franchise and departed Nippon Ichi Software in 2022 — is producing the game, with a 2026 release target for PS5, Nintendo Switch, and PC. The game’s central mechanic, the Peon Exploitation System, requires players to deliberately sacrifice allied units to strengthen their remaining army. The more misdeeds committed, the more powerful the force. Disgaea built the tactical RPG template on character preservation and level accumulation; Demons’ Night Fever structurally inverts it.

On the fighting game side, Robo-Ky launched as Guilty Gear Strive’s latest Season 5 DLC character on July 2 — yesterday. The Anime Expo panel will cover what the Strive roadmap looks like from here, including where the game goes after Robo-Ky

The new unannounced title referenced in initial panel descriptions referred to Qliphah in Providence’s Shadow, which Arc System Works formally announced at the June Showcase before confirming it would receive dedicated coverage at the Anime Expo session

What Anime Expo Is Building Toward for Gaming

The density of Saturday’s gaming programming at Anime Expo 2026 is not coincidental. Japanese publishers with anime-adjacent titles have found that a franchise fan convention offers something a dedicated gaming event cannot manufacture: an audience pre-selected by IP loyalty. Every attendee in a panel room for Attack on Titan, Solo Leveling, or Guilty Gear Strive arrived knowing the franchise. A gaming trade show can draw large numbers; it cannot replicate the commercial signal that comes from a room where enthusiasm for a specific property is the price of entry.

The structural conditions reinforced this. E3’s permanent cancellation after 2023 left a gap in the North American gaming calendar that Summer Game Fest — held in June — only partially fills, and that Gamescom, arriving in late August, reaches from the other side. Anime Expo sits in the July 4 weekend between them, and it has accumulated exactly the kind of franchise-fan audience that makes it more useful to certain publishers than either alternative would be

Today, July 3, continues with developer panels and booth demos across the show floor. The Anime Expo gaming peak arrives Saturday, July 4, with the Arc System Works and Solo Leveling sessions running simultaneously from 10:00 to 10:50 AM PDT and 10:30 to 11:20 AM PDT respectively. The event closes Sunday, July 5

Anime Expo 2026 runs through July 5 at the Los Angeles Convention Center and JW Marriott in downtown Los Angeles. Visit the Anime Expo 2026 programming schedule for the full gaming panel lineup

    Frequently Asked Questions

What gaming panels are scheduled at Anime Expo 2026?

Saturday, July 4 is the peak gaming day. Arc System Works holds its developer panel from 10:00 to 10:50 AM PDT at the Los Angeles Convention Center, covering Guilty Gear Strive, Demons’ Night Fever, and Qliphah in Providence’s Shadow. Solo Leveling: KARMA runs simultaneously at 10:30 to 11:20 AM PDT at the JW Marriott Diamond Ballroom. Attack on Titan 3’s latest trailer screens at the AmiAmi exhibitor booth throughout the event, which runs through Sunday, July 5. See the Anime Expo 2026 gaming panel schedule for full details.

When is the Solo Leveling: KARMA panel at Anime Expo 2026, and what will it show?

The Solo Leveling: KARMA panel, titled “Expanding Universe,” takes place Saturday, July 4, from 10:30 AM to 11:20 AM PDT at the JW Marriott Diamond Ballroom in Los Angeles. Attendees can expect new gameplay footage, character reveals not shown before, behind-the-scenes development context, and live script readings by English voice actor Aleks Le. Surprise guests have been confirmed. Netmarble has not yet announced a release date for the game, which is in development for mobile and PC. The full schedule is available at the Anime Expo 2026 official schedule.

Why does Anime Expo matter for gaming when dedicated gaming events exist?

For publishers with anime-adjacent titles, Anime Expo provides something a general gaming trade show cannot: an audience pre-screened by franchise loyalty. When Netmarble shows KARMA footage to an Anime Expo crowd, every person watching already has an established investment in the Solo Leveling universe. That commercial signal — a room of fans who arrived committed rather than curious — is structurally different from the mixed-interest audiences at larger gaming conventions. With E3 discontinued after 2023 and Gamescom not arriving until August, Anime Expo occupies the July 4 weekend window as the most productive Western reveal venue for this category of title.

What is Attack on Titan 3’s release date and which platforms will it launch on?

Koei Tecmo confirmed a winter 2026 release window for Attack on Titan 3 during the “Next Scouting Report” broadcast on July 1, 2026. The game will launch on PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2, Xbox Series X|S, and PCbeen announced. The game does not support the original Nintendo Switch — Switch players will need a Switch 2
