TL;DR: Rockstar is developing a “Creator Platform” for Grand Theft Auto 6, enabling community-hosted servers and user-generated content. This platform will include a marketplace for digital assets, allowing players to customize and share private online worlds, expanding GTA Online’s community-driven experience and creating new revenue streams.

It has been rumored and speculated for quite some time that Rockstar will significantly expand GTA Online in Grand Theft Auto 6, with some theories even suggesting the online service will receive the Roblox treatment, allowing players to host and customize community servers. By doing this, Rockstar will have created a user-generated content ecosystem, which ties directly into its acquisition of FiveM and RedM, two standalone online versions of GTA V and Red Dead Redemption Online
Rockstar then created a storefront called the Cfx Marketplace that sells digital content, such as items and cosmetics. Essentially, Rockstar recognized the value of the GTA Role-Playing community and community servers in general, and is now officially bringing them into the fold under what it describes as the “Creator Platform“. Job listings on Rockstar’s website are calling for multiple positions under the “Creator Platform,” which may just be an internal name and not what it’s called within GTA 6.

If this all shakes out as I suspect, Grand Theft Auto 6 will have robust community server support paired with a marketplace where users can shop for new assets to add to their private GTA 6 worlds. These worlds, essentially private lobbies, can be enjoyed by friends, customized, and hosted online for the public to join

Question #2
How will the in-game Cfx Marketplace handle transactions—will Rockstar take a cut on third-party creator sales?
The primary article says Rockstar created a storefront called the Cfx Marketplace selling digital content and that baking this marketplace into GTA 6 and taking a percentage of every transaction would provide another stable source of income. Therefore Rockstar is expected to take a cut on third-party creator sales through the in-game Cfx Marketplace.
