Shueisha has launched MANGA MILLION, a new digital manga platform that offers free access to nearly 400 manga series in more than 100 languages as part of the publisher’s 100th anniversary celebration. The service is available worldwide for a limited time and does not require users to create an account or register.

The initiative makes approximately one million pages of manga available, making it Shueisha’s largest translation project to date. The launch lineup includes major franchises such as ONE PIECE, NARUTO, BLEACH, Demon Slayer, JUJUTSU KAISEN, Chainsaw Man, SPY x FAMILY, Kingdom, Reborn!, Yu Yu Hakusho, OSHI NO KO, Nana, and Kimi ni Todoke: From Me to You.

According to Shueisha, nearly 300 titles are receiving their first-ever translations, while 50 works have been translated into multiple languages for the project. It also includes special chapters and one-shots, such as Tatsuki Fujimoto’s Look Back.

The platform supports languages including English, Chinese, Hindi, Arabic, Spanish, French, Turkish, Korean, Polish, Tagalog, and many others. In an interview with Anime Corner that will be launched in full later today, MANGA Plus by Shueisha Editor-in-Chief Shuhei Hosono confirmed that no AI was used in the translation process.

The project was developed across Shueisha’s editorial divisions, bringing together shonen, shojo, seinen, and other demographics under a single platform. International licensing partners also participated in the large-scale translation effort. More than 150 of the available titles are shojo manga.

Shueisha President and Representative Director Hideaki Hayashi said the project aims to create new connections between manga creators and readers around the world as the company celebrates its centennial.

One of a publisher’s most important responsibilities is to connect creative talent with the public. Japanese manga has flourished through the passionate artistry of countless manga creators and the unwavering support of readers, growing into a cultural phenomenon embraced across borders around the world. MANGA MILLION was made possible through the incredible cooperation of these creators, and as we mark Shueisha’s 100th anniversary, we hope it will create new connections with readers worldwide, provide opportunities to experience the richness and diversity of manga culture, and inspire future generations of manga creators.

MANGA Plus by Shueisha Editor-in-Chief Shuhei Hosono, who initiated the project, said the idea began with the goal of translating one million pages into 100 languages while helping reduce language barriers that still limit access to manga in many regions.

The project began with a simple question: what if we marked Shueisha’s 100th anniversary by translating one million pages of manga into 100 languages? As we developed the concept, we also saw it as a way to address the language barriers that still prevent many readers around the world from accessing manga. We hope that MANGA MILLION, an unprecedented translation initiative spanning 100 languages and one million pages, will spark new discoveries and connections between readers and Japanese manga.

MANGA MILLION launched on August 6 and is available globally for a limited time through its official website. The platform is free to use and requires no registration.
