Guardians Frontline has released a major update on all platforms that gives players new tools to create their own campaigns.
Almost three years after its release, Guardians Frontline recently released its ninth update, which focuses on player-created campaigns. Developer VirtualAge, which is working with Fast Travel Games, said its goal is to allow the community to create their own adventures with this core system in beta.
The developers say they welcome suggestions for new tools that would allow map creators to create custom campaigns and provide the ability to place narrative text and custom lines for a more personalized experience. The community-focused update also adds a new map reporting system to address content that doesn’t follow our guidelines.
The level editor made the process of tying it into a full-fledged campaign even more appealing, and the developers encouraged players to share their campaign creations with other fans on Discord. Besides general bug fixes, this major patch includes the implementation of trophies, a new mission system to guide new players through the main and daily campaigns, and additional skins to support the studio.

The first-person bug shooter with shades of Halo, Starcraft, and Helldivers 2 was a hit on UploadVR in its initial review. “With its engaging multiplayer modes and extensive community-generated content potential, Guardians Frontline is easy to recommend.”
An upcoming sequel called Guardians Planetfall is scheduled for release in 2026. Guardians Frontline is currently available on Quest and Steam.
