MR Clean could be a mixed reality PowerWash simulator, expected to arrive on the Quest 3/3S next year.
Developed by PotamWorks (Smash Drums), MR Clean is a room-scale mixed reality cleaning game designed around hand-tracking controls to remove virtual dirt from walls, floors, and furniture. It also comes with a two-player “party mode” for local play, as well as a “virtual object mode” to clean up detailed 3D models piece by piece.
It was originally inspired by a mixed reality experiment created with Smash Drums, which lets you splatter virtual paint across a room.
“While the painting mechanic was a natural fit for Smash Drums and one of its iconic environments, the cleaning phase ultimately didn’t match up with a game built around chaos and rock ‘n’ roll,” said PotamWorks, who revived the idea for the Meta Horizon Start Developer Competition 2025.

Future games will also feature collaborative content and themed challenges. Crossovers with Red Matter 2, Ancient Dungeon, Deisim, and Smash Drums have already been confirmed, as well as “over 15 other fan-favorite experiences.” Finally, PotamWorks says MR Clean is also compatible with Quest’s travel mode.
MR Clean is expected to head to Quest 3/3S in Q1 2026.
