Redruth is set for a vibrant, fandom‑filled weekend as Geek Expo arrives at Redruth School, bringing two days of cosplay, gaming, comics, movies, collectibles and community spirit.
Organisers say they are “working flat out” on last‑minute preparations ahead of Saturday’s opening (August 29).
While replies to messages may have been slower, they have reassured fans that online tickets remain available until the end of today (Friday), after which passes can be purchased on the door throughout the event.
With costumes finished and anticipation building, organisers have shared a helpful checklist to make sure visitors arrive fully prepared. Essentials include:

Geek Expo has also announced that Man Down UK, a Cornwall‑based non‑profit dedicated to supporting men facing mental health challenges, will be on site throughout the weekend.
The organisation provides safe, informal, peer‑led talking groups for men aged 18 and over, offering a space to speak openly, without judgement, and connect with others who understand what they’re going through.
Organisers say they are proud to spotlight organisations making a real difference locally, encouraging visitors to stop by, learn more, and help spread the message that it’s okay not to be okay – and it’s okay to ask for help.
