Xenoblade Chronicles 2 has just gone live with a new version 3.0.1 update. This is intended for those playing on Nintendo Switch 2.
A number of different bugs have now been fixed. One of these is something many players noticed, which was background music and sound effects not being properly balanced.
The full rundown is as follows:
Xenoblade Chronicles 2 version 3.0.1 update patch notes
Nintendo Switch 2 Edition Update Details
- Fixed an issue where, when receiving WP as an amiibo reward while playing New Game Plus with accessory slots increased to three slots, accessory slots would reduce to two slots.
- Note: If you re-unlocked the extra accessory slot after this bug occurred, then the items expended to unlock the extra slot will be returned.
- Fixed an issue where the background music and sound effects balance differed from the Nintendo Switch version.
- Fixed an issue when a Driver joins the party where the Driver will sometimes join with an exorbitant amount of WP.
- Fixed an issue in which Rex sometimes becomes uncontrollable when switching from Pyra to Mythra during combat.
- Fixed an issue in which Pouch Item effects did not activate during combat after swapping MOMO to a form other than the one she was in at combat start.
Note that if you have the standalone Torna game, that’s at version 2.0.1. The only thing there is about the same volume balancing fixed in the main game.
