Bruce Campbell He may have a bigger role in the MCU after his cameo in “The Marvel Universe” Sam Raimi2022 Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.
As you know, Campbell plays Pizza Poppa, a food vendor on Earth-838. However, the actor teased that he might have a bigger role in the Marvel Universe.
“I play Pizza Poppa, but ask yourself: Really? In the timeline? In the Marvel timeline, I’m just a pizza dad? Please don’t kid yourself,” Campbell said in an interview with Variety.
“My movie contract is that big. Do you think I would sign that big a contract for that simple little one-off character? What did I do in that movie? I delayed Doctor Strange. I didn’t beat him, we No fight. What did I do to delay him? Did I just save Doctor Strange’s life?
He then added, “The Marvel universe is really just getting started, and there’s only so much I can comment on.”
Campbell previously said of his cameo: “I’m not the pizza guy, okay? It would be a mistake to think that I’m just a pizza guy or an usher or an announcer or a maitre d’.
“This is the multiverse, my friends. So, yes, he’s the same character, but we don’t know who he is. It’s not revealed yet. I just got off the phone with someone from Marvel and we’re about to find out.
As a fan of Campbell, I would certainly like to see more of his work in the Marvel Universe, but who knows what Marvel is planning! Hopefully Marvel does have plans for Campbell, and if they do, it will be interesting to see what that plan is.
