Noto Satoyama Airport has opened for a limited time as Noto Satoyama Pokémon With You Airport, the first airport in the world to bear the Pokémon name. The special airport opened on July 7 and will operate under this name until September 30, 2029

The airport’s original logo features a bright and festive design created with the wish of bringing energy and encouragement to visitors. Inspired by Poké Balls and Pikachu, the logo incorporates the shape of the Noto Peninsula as well as the smiles of local residents and travelers

In the second floor atrium, one of the airport’s distinctive architectural features, a large symbolic Pikachu and airplane balloon float overhead. Around them, countless Pokémon are decorated as if they are comfortably flying through the sky

Inside the airport, visitors can use their smartphones to enjoy three original short videos. One of them, “Fly, Bagon!,” tells the story of Bagon, who longs to fly in the sky.A monument of Bagon looking up at Salamence has been installed inside the airport, linking the real airport display with the video. The other two videos are also original stories designed to make the airport and a trip around the Noto Peninsula even more enjoyable
