The Hawk officially begins streaming on Netflix today, Thursday. The 10-episode series features Will Ferrell as Lonnie “The Hawk” Hawkins, who reached the world No.1 golf ranking in 2004 and now hopes to revive his career.
Netflix describes the show as a sports comedy that follows Lonnie through the hardships of life on and off the golf course. Rather than focusing solely on sports, it explores the challenges of chasing another shot at success while balancing family relationships and life beyond the spotlight. It mixes heartfelt moments with the kind of absurd comedy that has defined much of Ferrell’s career.
Ferrell takes the lead in the series alongside Molly Shannon as Stacy. The supporting cast includes Jimmy Tatro, Fortune Feimster, Chris Parnell, Katelyn Tarver, Gabriel Hogan, Luke Wilson, and Aida Osman.
