The Marvel Cinematic Universe is set to return to the small screen once again after a quieter period of releases. ‘Vision Quest’ is set to premiere later this month, filling the gap left by ‘WandaVision’ and ‘Agatha All Along.’ And unlike other Disney+ premieres, the release schedule could be quite different.
This time around, this Marvel Studios series will aim to move the narrative along at a faster pace, according to some reports. ‘VisionQuest’ will have the same episode count as other Marvel series on the platform—a total of 8 episodes—but unlike other series, there will be days when two new episodes premiere.
Here’s the whole reported release schedule for ‘VisionQuest’:
- Oct. 14: Episodes 1 & 2
- Oct. 21: Episodes 3 & 4
- Oct. 28: Episodes 5 & 6
- Nov. 4: Episode 7
- Nov. 11: Episode 8
For now, take this with a grain of salt, since last month’sDisney+ and Hulu release schedule only indicates that the episodes listed refer to a single episode—though the list is vague, although, the double-episode premiere is confirmed. On the other hand,it makes sense that the series would want to wrap up with enough time to spare before the release of ‘Avengers: Doomsday’—assuming, of course, that Vision eventually ends up connecting with the upcoming movie.
What is ‘VisionQuest’ about?
According to the official synopsis of ‘VisionQuest’: Vision, rebooted and having escaped from those who sought to weaponize him, has been in hiding. Searching for new meaning,he consults the AI personas embedded in his programming, including F.R.I.D.A.Y., E.D.I.T.H., J.A.R.V.I.S., and the infamous Ultron. His discreet existence ends when a bounty placed on his head thrusts him on the run with Thomas Shepherd, a mysterious boy who may be Vision’s son, reincarnate. As Vision evades capture, he must confront his nature, resist Ultron’s influence, and unravel the enigma that is his young companion if he’s to survive”
