After more than seven years of publication, The Dangers in My Heart is officially coming to an end. The the manga’s final chapter will be published on September 15.
The announcement was shared through the series’ official X account, confirming that the romantic comedy’s story is entering its final chapter after first debuting in 2018.

The Dangers in My Heart follows Kyotaro Ichikawa, a gloomy middle school student with an overactive imagination, who gradually forms an unlikely relationship with his cheerful and popular classmate, Anna Yamada. The offbeat comedy slowly develops into a heartfelt coming-of-age romance that has become one of the most popular manga in its genre.
The manga, written and illustrated by Norio Sakurai, has received two anime adaptations, both produced by Shin-Ei Animation. The adaptation has been widely praised for faithfully capturing the manga’s humour, emotional moments, and character development.
Seven Seas Entertainment is releasing the manga in English. The manga is available digitally to read on BookWalker, Rakuten Kobo, and other platforms.
While the manga is about to wrap up, the anime still has more story to tell. A third season was announced earlier this year and is currently scheduled to premiere in 2027.
