Apple unveiled its new Apple Watch Ultra 4 and Apple Watch Series 12 lineup yesterday, plus the all-new AirPods 5. They hit shelves next Friday, September 18.
Ahead of that launch, Apple’s new lineup is now available to pre-order on Amazon.
AirPods 5
First, Apple’s new AirPods 5 pack even more features at even lower prices. For example, both AirPods 5 models now offer Active Noise Cancellation, unlike the previous AirPods 4 generation. However, there are some differences — the lower-end model doesn’t have on-stem volume controls or a wireless charging case. You’ll also get about an extra hour of battery life on the higher-end model.
I’ve used AirPods 5 for a few hours and have been seriously impressed with the improvement in ANC. More thoughts on that soon.
Apple Watch Series 12
Meanwhile, the new Apple Watch Series 4 and Apple Watch Ultra 4 pack some major improvements to health tracking. Apple calls this an all-new Health Sensing System, unlocking higher-frequency heart rate and HRV sensing that helps power a new readiness score feature. It also adds new Audio Intelligence features, including Live Rewind and Siri Recap.
New Apple Watch Band colors
Finally, there are a few new Apple Watch bands available on Amazon as well. I spent some brief time with the new colors and I’m particularly fond of the new translucent Ocean Band options.
- NEW Trail Loop $99
- Sand, Dark Umber, Burgundy
- NEW Ocean Band $99
- Translucent Kelp, Gray, and Black
- NEW Alpine Loop $99
- Desert, Dark Olive, and Burgundy
