Apple unveiled its new Apple Watch Ultra 4 and Apple Watch Series 12 lineup yesterday, plus the all-new AirPods 5. They hit shelves next Friday, September 18.

Apple’s 2026 iPhone event is now done, and it was an unusual one. We finally got to see Apple’s inaugural folding iPhone, and it’s intriguing, to say the least. Apple on Wednesday unveiled the Apple Watch Series 12 and Apple Watch Ultra 4 at its iPhone launch event in Cupertino. While the smartwatches aren’t getting a major hardware makeover, they are getting some significant software updates.

The successors to the Apple Watch Series 11 and Ultra 3 ($879 on Amazon) are expected to be officially unveiled on Wednesday, September 9. MacRumors has now received specific clues from a reader regarding upgrades to the next-generation smartwatches, which are hidden in the code of the beta version of watchOS 27. 

Apple appears to be bracing for a double-Apple Watch debut at its Sept. 9 event, with rumors pointing to a new Ultra 4 launching alongside the flagship Series 12. According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, Apple is preparing both watches with faster chips along with new health and fitness features.
