After launching digitally last year for the Nintendo Switch 2, Bloober Team and Meridiem Games have announced that a physical edition of Layers of Fear: The Final Masterpiece Edition will be arriving just in time for Halloween on October 28th.

So far, PlayStation and Take-Two Interactive have been the most vocal proponents of moving away from physical game media, often citing sales figures to support their stance.

PlayStation’s decision to reduce PS5 disc production in early 2028 has sparked protests. Most notably, the Don’t Kill the Disc petition started strong and has garnered over 355,000 signatures.
