In VRChat, a wide variety of content is released day and night, from game worlds where you can play with friends to scenic worlds perfect for relaxing. In this series, we will pick out and introduce some of the most visually appealing worlds from the vast number of available worlds.

The world I’m introducing today is “Vestigia Orbis,” where platforms are automatically generated by wave function collapse.

“Orbis Vestigia” is a world created by creator Chootana@Chootana. A wave function is a complex-valued function in quantum mechanics that perfectly represents the state of extremely small particles such as electrons and atoms. The collapse (collapse) of a wave function refers to the collapse of that function into a single state upon observation. According to Chootana, this principle is utilized to dynamically generate the world.

The world has a liminal space-like structure, with white platforms floating in a dark space. You can move to all the platforms you see in front of you.

The scaffolding has built-in soundffects are matched to the background music playing in the world, so you won’t get bored while strolling around. The fact that the scaffolding lights up when it makes a sound is also a fun feature

What’s also surprising is that all the platforms disappear periodically, and the whole thing is reconstructed. When this gimmick is activated, the appearance changes completely. Frame-like structures unfold throughout the world, and platforms are generated again from them.

This world is basically designed to generate fields automatically, but as an exploration element, there are “tears” placed somewhere in the world.

Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to find everything, but depending on the direction I went, I was able to find elements that caused the scaffolding to become riddled with holes, as well as items that allowed me to place scaffolding myself.

“Vestigia Orbis” is a world where you can wander (in a good way) through a mysterious space that feels like it goes on forever. Just walking around is fun, and the puzzle-solving elements are also rewarding. It would be fun to try searching for “flaws” with a friend.

Why not visit the mysterious space “Vestigia Orbis”?
