Ravi Kishan’s “Money follows my brother” moment has officially gone from interview clip to song. T-Series is set to release Money Follows My Brother on September 11, turning the actor-politician’s viral exchange into a full-fledged music video.
Ravi Kishan embraces meme fame
The line became a social media favourite after Kishan was asked during an interview whether he valued recognition or money more. His answer, “Recognition. Money follows my brother, money follows!” quickly became meme material, with the clip finding a second life across social media.
Now, the makers appear ready to embrace the joke themselves. The teaser opens with a mother questioning her son about his disinterest in studies. The boy responds by lip-syncing to Kishan’s voiceover, which roughly translates to, “I will drive the whole country crazy. I have presented something, listen to it.” The video then cuts to Kishan delivering the line that started it all.
Kishan has also joined in on the fun, sharing the teaser on Instagram. “I’m coming to drive the entire country crazy,” he wrote while announcing the September 11 release.
The actor-politician has previously admitted that he is enjoying his unexpected journey as a meme sensation. “And I am natural. This is me,” he said, adding that he follows the memes and even gives them a like. Kishan also credited Gen Z for bringing a new audience his way, saying, “Gen Z has accepted me as their own.”
Money Follows song gets fans laughing
The song announcement has already triggered the kind of reactions one would expect from a meme-inspired project. Fans joked that Kishan had been paying attention to their reels, while others praised him for turning an internet moment into an opportunity.
For now, Kishan appears to be having the last laugh. What began as one memorable answer about recognition and money has now become a song, proving that on the internet, a viral moment can have a surprisingly long shelf life.
The timing also comes as Kishan remains in the spotlight for his acting. He is currently seen as Babban Yadav in Mirzapur: The Movie, which hit theatres on September 4. He will next feature inKhosla Ka Ghosla 2.
