A beloved MCU star will headline a popular Netflix TV show’s new spin-off. This series will expand the franchise on the streamer. This news comes after the production and filming of the mothership series’ final season have concluded.
MCU’s Agent Hill actress Cobie Smulders is reported to headline the spin-off series she will reprise her role as Artemisia “Emi” Finch, Mickey Haller’s half-sister from The Lincoln Lawyer
The character was introduced in the Netflix show towards the end of the fourth season. She then became a series regular in the upcoming fifth season. In Season 5, Haller is introduced to his half-sister Emi, whom he never knew existed. At Emi’s plea, the lawyer takes on the case to help free a wrongfully convicted woman.
Smulders’ character does not appear in Michael Connelly’s books, which the show is based on. She is an original character designed for the show. Moreover, she fills a gap in the main character’s family because his half-brother, Harry Bosch, is owned by Amazon for the Prime Video series Bosch.
Season 5 of the initial show will conclude Mickey Haller’s chapter. If the series is officially greenlit for production, then the franchise will expand with Smulders’ show.

That said, the idea of the spin-off was brewing among the executive producers, Ted Humphrey, Dailyn Rodriguez, and Matthew J. Lieberman, for a long time.
Together, they worked on the concept and recently pitched the idea to Netflix, which was well-received, with the streamer buying it and commissioning a script
