    The former NFL wide receiver and CBS television host spoke to Yahoo Sports about his favorite television hosts and how he’s enjoyed this summer’s World Cup.

    I’m here with Nate Burleson at AT&T Connection Cup.

    You’re, you’re, now you’re out here hosting.

    You’re doing your, like, Alex Trebek h- Yeah give me your goat talk show host.

    I mean, or game show host.

    Goat game show host.

    Starting with younger Nate, I’ll go with Marc Summers, Double Dare, absolute legend.

    You mentioned Alex Trebek, you know, one of the goats.

    Tom Bergeron, Hollywood Squares.

    Yeah, you like that pull.

    Then after that, I don’t know.

    I, I try to get you one from every era, and then myself, an up-and-coming one.

    Hey, how about Steve Harvey?

    Oh, forgot.

    I live in Atlanta.

    You could- That’s a good, that’s a good pull.

    Steve Harvey is, like, one of the goats, not just from a perspective of being entertaining, but also he’s a great businessman.

    Now, talk to us about the World Cup.

    Have you been watching?

    I know with Seattle had a lot of really big games.

    Oh, yeah, yeah.

    No, Seattle was lit.

    But I was talking to people back home.

    Ever since the Sounders came, we’ve really embraced the soccer culture or football, as it’s widely known around the globe.

    But yeah, it’s, it’s been amazing.

    I wanted the Team USA men’s squad to go a little bit further, but when you have a storyline like Lionel Messi having the opportunity to solidify what a lot of people already think is a GOAT career, it’s, it’s been amazing to watch, and I know that New Jersey is gonna be absolutely lit for the final.

    Was there a, a player or a team that you maybe didn’t know about that kind of you admire now or kind of fell in love with just watching them?

    A soccer player?

    Yeah, during the World Cup.

    Ooh, well, we had the goalie from Cape Verde’s team- Oh, yes on our show.

    And we’re gonna talk about a humble hero.

    My man is a little bit older.

    I believe he’s either 40 or close to 40, and, he fell in love with, with, the, the, the, the, the chase of wanting to be a professional athlete, and it took him a little bit longer.

    He started his professional career at, like, 25 but never gave up on it and then ended up being a, a really social media sensation.

    He had, like, 50,000 followers and then ended up with, like, 21 million, which is wild.

    So yeah, I, I followed him, and now I’m a huge fan.

    You got a pick for the game on Sunday?

    I know a lot of people are indifferent about, you know, it being Argentina or Spain, but I like seeing legacy happen in real time.

    You know?

    So I would love to see Lionel Messi score a goal and Argentina win.
