Nandamuri Balakrishna suffers leg injury while filming NBK 111, to undergo minor surgery

Nandamuri Balakrishna recently suffered a leg injury while performing an action sequence on the sets of NBK 111, for which he has been advised to undergo minor surgery. Jr NTR took to social media to wish him a speedy recovery and good health

Veteran actor Nandamuri Balakrishna recently suffered a leg injury on the sets of his upcoming movie, tentatively titled NBK 111. The actor suffered an injury reportedly while filming an action sequence in Kakinada. The actor was allegedly shooting a fight scene in and around the Kakinada Port area when he got injured. He was immediately rushed to a hospital, where doctors diagnosed him with a ligament tear in his leg.
Nandamuri Balakrishna to undergo surgery
According to a report by Gulte, doctors have advised the actor to undergo a minor surgery. If Nandamuri agrees to proceed with the procedure, he is expected to take a few weeks of rest before resuming work on the film. Soon after the reports of his injury surfaced, actor Jr NTR extended best wishes to the actor on X, saying, “Get well soon Bala Babai. Wishing you a speedy recovery and good health. Looking forward to seeing you roar back in full form.”
Later, the makers of the film also confirmed the injuryf an intense action sequence for NBK111 in Kakinada, Nandamuri Balakrishna Garu sustained a minor muscle tear. As advised by the medical team, he will undergo a minor surgical procedure to ensure a swift and complete recovery.”
“His unwavering dedication, discipline and passion for cinema continue to inspire everyone on the sets of #NBK111. The procedure is routine, and there is absolutely no cause for concern. We wish him a speedy recovery and look forward to welcoming him back to the sets very soon,” it further added.
About NBK 111
Notably, the injury comes just weeks after the makers revealed the first glimpse of NBK 111 on Balakrishna’s birthday. The teaser witnessed a positive response from fans, as many praised the actor’s stylish and intense look in the upcoming movie.
In the teaser, Balakrishna is seen riding a motorcycle while carrying a rifle along. It hinted at his powerful action-packed avatar. NBK 111 marks another reunion of Balakrishna and director Gopichand Malineni after the two worked together on the commercial success of Veera Simha Reddy. The film is being produced by Venkata Satish Kilaru under the Vriddhi Cinemas banner.
Actress Kajal Aggarwal has been finalised to play the female lead in the film and will be seen sharing screen space with Balakrishna for the fourth time.
