Jujutsu Kaisen had a considerably bigger first half of 2026 than Demon Slayer on Netflix. Across its seasons and movies available on the service, the series pulled in 31.6 million views, while Demon Slayer managed 17.5 million during the same period.

The numbers come from Netflix’s latest What We Watched engagement report (thanks, CBR), covering viewing between January and June 2026. Jujutsu Kaisen also accumulated 202.1 million hours watched, compared to 105.4 million hours for Demon Slayer.

Season 3 did much of the heavy lifting for Jujutsu Kaisen. The latest season, which covers the first half of the Culling Game arc, reached 9.4 million views and became Netflix’s most-watched anime season during the reporting period.

The older seasons were not far behind. Jujutsu Kaisen Season 1 recorded 8.7 million views, while Season 2 reached 6.7 million. Together, those three seasons occupied three of the five highest positions among anime on Netflix.

JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Steel Ball Run was the closest competitor, with its first batch reaching 8.3 million views. Baki-Dou: The Invincible Samurai Season 1 followed with 8 million.

The rest of Netflix’s anime top 10 consisted of The Fragrant Flower Blooms With Dignity Season 1 at 5.1 million views, Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End Season 2 at 4.9 million, Record of Ragnarok Season 3 at 4.6 million, Blue Lock Season 1 at 4.2 million, and The Apothecary Diaries Season 1 at 4.1 million.

Demon Slayer did not place a season in the top 10.

Its most-watched entry was the Hashira Training Arc with 4.1 million views, followed closely by the first season at 4 million. The Entertainment District Arc reached 3.8 million, while the Mugen Train Arc recorded 3.4 million.

Further down, the Swordsmith Village Arc had 1.8 million views, while Demon Slayer: Mugen Train Movie recorded 400,000.

Jujutsu Kaisen’s movies added another 6.8 million views to its total. Jujutsu Kaisen 0: The Movie accounted for 6.1 million of those, while Jujutsu Kaisen: Hidden Inventory / Premature Death – The Movie recorded 700,000.

That leaves the individual Jujutsu Kaisen numbers at 9.4 million for Season 3, 8.7 million for Season 1, 6.7 million for Season 2, 6.1 million for Jujutsu Kaisen 0, and 700,000 for Hidden Inventory / Premature Death.

Demon Slayer’s individual figures were 4.1 million for the Hashira Training Arc, 4 million for Season 1, 3.8 million for the Entertainment District Arc, 3.4 million for the Mugen Train Arc, 1.8 million for the Swordsmith Village Arc, and 400,000 for the Mugen Train movie.

Of course, these figures tell us what people watched on Netflix, rather than the overall popularity of either franchise. They do not account for audiences watching through other streaming platforms or, particularly in Demon Slayer’s case, its theatrical business.
