Morecambe Comic Con returns this weekend

Morecambe Comic Con returns for its free two day Summer event this weekend, over Bank Holiday Sunday and Monday (30th – 31st August 2026). While its focus is more media collectables and cosplay, comic creators and genre authors do attend, so if you fancy a day at the seaside…

This free to enter event at The Platform, opposite The Midland Hotel, will once again be attracting Star Wars and Scifi fans, Superhero Characters and Costumers to the northern resort town.

Local fantasy author AS Chambers, Lancaster’s master of the macabre, creator of the mysteries investigator Sam Spallucci, will be at the event, for one.

The event features plenty of fantastic stalls selling merchandise including comics, collectables, toys, horror, anime, Lego, art, Pokemon Cards, Plushies, Mystery Boxes & Bags, and more.

A free to enter Cosplay Competition takes place both days at 2.30pm, so why not dress up as your favourite character – there are prizes to be won.

“Let’s make this one our biggest turnout to date, so why not join us on Sunday or Monday… or both days!” say the organisers.

“Tell your Family, Friends, Neighbours, the postman, the milkman – heck, tell everyone! (but maybe not the seagulls).”
