JioStar has expanded its <a href="https://comicvibe.com/ideas-entertainment-and-bookmyshow-launch-the-drama-utsav-mumbai-2026/” title=”Ideas Entertainment and BookMyShow launch The Drama Utsav Mumbai 2026″>Entertainment Digital Ad Sales team with the appointment of three senior leaders across branding, commerce and content IP led revenue. Sudhir Shukla, Rachit Jain and Junaid Khwaja will take charge of specialised functions as the company looks to strengthen its digital sales capabilities.
The appointments were communicated internally by Bhaskar Ramesh, Head, Entertainment Sales, Digital, JioStar. According to the communication, the leadership additions are aimed at strengthening LCS Branding, LCS Commerce and Content IPs, with a focus on specialised customer engagement, innovation and growth.
Sudhir Shukla has joined JioStar as EVP, Entertainment Ad Sales, Digital (LCS Branding). He brings over two decades of experience spanning CPG, retail, online businesses and media.
Shukla was most recently Chief Operating Officer and P&L Head at More Retail. Prior to that, he held leadership positions at Cars24, Star Sports and Mondelez.
In the internal communication, Ramesh highlighted Shukla’s experience in scaling businesses, building brands, developing advertiser partnerships and driving growth across large operating environments.
Shukla holds a PGDBM in Finance and Marketing from XLRI Jamshedpur and a B.E. in Electronics Engineering from VESIT, Mumbai University.
Rachit Jain has joined as SVP, Entertainment Ad Sales, Digital (LCS Commerce). He brings more than 20 years of experience across digital advertising, technology and media.
Jain most recently co-founded Sparkonomy, an AI-led platform for content creators. Before this, he led Meta India’s Mid-Market and Growth Businesses, where he worked across revenue strategy and client partnerships involving high-growth advertisers.
He also spent over a decade at Google across India and the US, with experience spanning industry sales, video monetisation, product strategy and cloud solutions.
His appointment comes as JioStar strengthens its commerce-focused digital sales capabilities, with his experience spanning revenue businesses and advertiser relationships across technology and digital advertising platforms.
Jain holds a PGDBM from MDI Gurgaon and a B.Tech in Information Technology from Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, Delhi.
Junaid Khwaja has joined as SVP, Entertainment Ad Sales, Digital (Content IPs). He brings more than 18 years of experience across media and technology platforms.
Khwaja was most recently Senior Vice President and National Sales Head at Dream11. Prior to that, he led Agency Partnerships and Media Sales for Amazon Ads India.
His earlier roles include stints with Amazon, Twitter
Ramesh noted Khwaja’s experience across advertiser partnerships, platform monetisation, content-led solutions and sales organisation building.
Khwaja holds a PGDM in Business Management from Welingkar Institute of Management, Mumbai, and a B.E. in Computer Engineering from K.J. Somaiya College of Engineering, Mumbai.
The appointments also bring changes to responsibilities within JioStar’s digital sales team. Amrita Bharadwaj will report to Shukla and lead CPG, while Amandeep Mittal will continue reporting to Ramesh and focus on Mid-Market.
Aashish Gupta will report to Ramesh and lead Digital PRS.
Meanwhile, Shubhra Sethi, Bikash Kundu and Vivek Modi will continue to support both the Digital and Linear Entertainment Revenue teams.
The three appointments strengthen specialised leadership across branding, commerce and content IPs within JioStar’s Entertainment Digital Ad Sales business, alongside the existing alignment between its digital and linear entertainment revenue teams.
