If you’re lacking the motivation to put together an outfit, read on.
Allie Hayes/JLo
Rewriting history is one thing – making it completely your own is a whole another ball game. Somehow, Off Campus actress Mika Abdalla managed to do both with her breakout Off Campus turn as Allie Hayes. The second she put on that wispy green chiffon gown, gaping down to her navel and busted out the moves to the original Jennifer Lopez’s Get on the Floor – absolutely everyone knew that this one was going to be a hot hit for Halloween season.
Now, finding a dupe of the dress or recreating it DIY won’t be all that hard. But what will really define your commitment to the viral vision is going to be the hair. Our suggestion? Don’t play it safe, go all out on the crimped up curls – and if you have a plus one, they are obligated to dress up as Stephen Kalyn’s Dean, who showed up as Top Gun Maverick.
Freaky Nikki
The most obvious pick – dressing up as the most disconcerting horror-verse character for Halloween. But here’s the thing, you have options! You could keep it casz and dress up as the Nikki that waited by the door all day for Bear to come back; you could quickly source a halter-cut red and black zebra striped top and pair it with a teeny pair of shorts to recreate their first proper confrontation; or, take your shortest, flimsiest chiffon dress, rip it up and cinch it in with a corset to recreate the climax look. Fake blood is optional, though a makeup routine to get those unearthly eyes are currently thronging the internet. So we’d say give it a go.
Carrie
This one never gets old, and this year, it literally isn’t. Mike Flanagan’s Carrie has blown up and with good reason and that’s the only excuse you need to have your own prom queen moment, though maybe hold the brutal and bloody aftermath. A powder-blue, full-length, satin slip dress with a slight plunge at the neck, a clean and glowing face and a twinkling tiara is all you will need for this look. Again, fake blood optional but we will seriously commend the effort and commitment to character.
Forbidden Fruits: Apple Edition
This is our personal favourite off the list. Lili Reinhart is going through her own very artfully curated style renaissance and we’re fully here for it. Her The Love Hypothesis press tour looks may have got all the attention – but we wish the same could’ve been said for her delectably witchy turn in spooky chick flick, Forbidden Fruits.
First off, get a set of fake bangs online and then dig through your wardrobe for deep reds, blacks and stark graphic contrasts in ailored, plunging, and seductive shapes. Keep the makeup clean cut and dress dominant – that’s all.

VS Angel
The Victoria’s Secret fashion show is still living rent-free in everyone’s minds – as are the endless rendition of wings and lingerie. And honestly, that’s the only brief you need for this one.
Go full glam on the face, get a fresh blowout, order a pair of wings to be delivers ASAP, and if you pick your barely-there clothes well, you might even be giving Fantasy Bra-clad-Kylie Jenner at your Halloween bash!
