The society survival game Frostpunk is getting a release on Nintendo Switch, 11 Bit Studios revealed today. Fans can expect to see it on October 19, 2026.

Frostpunk, which first released in 2018, features a blend of strategic gameplay and a gritty story of humanity’s survival. Players will make tough decisions and have to live with the consequences.

More information can be found in the following overview:

Featuring a blend of strategic gameplay and a gritty story of humanity’s survival, Frostpunk helped revolutionize the survival city builder genre. Now, Nintendo Switch players will be able to take the helm as the ruler of the last city on Earth, and guide New London’s flock to survival through their own harsh moral choices.

Frostpunk – which back in the day gathered wide industry recognition, including “Best PC Game” of the year by Windows Central, “Best Sim” of the year by PC Gamer, and a BAFTA nomination for achievements in narrative – will launch on Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 on October 19th. Frostpunk on Nintendo Switch will be available in two versions – Base Game (30% launch discount) and Complete Edition (35% launch discount) – including three DLC packs: The Rifts, The Last Autumn, and On The Edge. Pre-orders are available now.

    • MAKE THE LAW: Establish laws that regulate the existence of your growing society. Decide on their working routine, healthcare, food provision, and other crucial aspects of everyday life.
    • SHAPE YOUR SOCIETY: If you reach a turning point, do not hesitate to determine the path of your people. Should you rule them with an iron fist… or show them a way of compassion and faith?
    • WEIGH UP YOUR CHOICES: Your people put their faith in you, but their devotion is not limitless. Leadership can be a burden.
    • DEVELOP NEW TECHNOLOGIES: Survival demands progress. React to current events, but don’t forget about the long term – investing in development and technological progress.
    • EXPLORE THE FROSTLANDS: While New London is your main focus, there is much more to the world than what lies within the limits of your city. Expeditions, while risky, can bring you valuable intel, precious supplies, and grow your society’s population.
    • PLAY ENDLESSLY: Frostpunk Endless Mode grants unlimited replayability. Serenity Mode is focused on enjoying the art of building the city itself, without unnecessary pressure.
