Shortly after the broadcast of its final episode, a second season has been announced for theDraw This, Then Die!TV anime series. A premiere for the second season has not been revealed, as of the time of writing.
A visual featuring the protagonist Ai Yasumi and Pokota has also been released to celebrate the second season’s announcement.
Hiroaki Akagi(The Dangers in My Heart) directed the anime series, withHiroko Fukuda(You Were Experienced, I Was Not: Our Dating Story) as series composer andKenji Sagawa(UniteUp!sub-character designer) as character designer.Shin-Ei Animationhandled the animation production.

The manga series byMinoru Toyodabegan serialization in Shogakukan’s Monthly Shonen Sunday (also known as Gessan) magazine on November 12, 2021. Ten tankobon volumes have been released in Japan as of July 2026. Seven Seas Entertainmentlicensed the mangafor English release.
The manga won the 16th Manga Taisho Award in 2023 and the 70th Shogakukan Manga Award in 2024.
