Both DC Comics and Marvel Comics gained market share in Q3 2026, but DC still outstripped Marvel, widening the gap between them by two tenths of a percent. Dollar sales of DC titles went from 31.9% to 33.6% of the market, while Marvel increased its share from 28.3% to 29.8% (see “Q2 Market Shares”). Strong sales of the Batman Day special Batman of Two Worlds, as well as the Absolute titles, continued to bolster DC’s bottom line, while two premium-priced issues, the Blind Bag Variant of Queen in Black #1 and the milestone Amazing Spider-Man #1000, helped boost Marvel’s share.
After moving up in Q2, Image Comics slipped back again, dropping from 15.3% to 12.3%. IDW Publishing gained a full percentage point, going from 3.5% to 4.5%, while Dynamite Entertainment lost half a point. Titan Comics captured 1.1% of the market, lifting it into the ranks of the Top 10 publishers, thanks in large part to strong sales of its Conan and Gun Honey titles. Oni Press, on the other hand, slipped out of the Top 10. Sales to all other publishers outside the top ten dropped a bit, going from 9.2% in Q2 to 8.9% in Q3.
