Anime fans Down Under can finally get their manga fix in the same place
Anime fans in Australia and NewZealand have another reason to spend far too much time on Crunchyroll, with theplatform finally bringing its digital manga service Down Under.
Crunchyroll Manga has launched locally with more than 250 English-language titles from publishers including J-Novel Club,Square Enix and Yen Press.
The library includes The Apothecary Diaries, My Dress-Up Darling, Bocchi the Rock!, Bungo Stray Dogs, Delicious in Dungeon, Lycoris Recoil and Sasaki and Miyano, among plenty of others.
It means you can finish an episode, get impatient about what happens next and jump straight into the manga without having to go hunting for somewhere else to read it.
Which, let’s be honest, is probably how a lot of anime fans end up reading manga in the first place.
Manga is already a pretty major part of anime fandom. Crunchyroll says 69 per cent of anime viewers surveyed across 11 markets read digital manga at least once a month, while Crunchyroll users were 1.4 times more likely than non-users to read digital manga every week.
The service first launched in the US and Canada in October 2025 and has since grown to more than 450 titles, with books from publishers including Kodansha, Shueisha, VIZ Media, Square Enix and Yen Press.
Australia and New Zealand are getting the first 250-plus titles, but that’s not the end of the rollout.
More publishers and books are on the way, including a selection of action manga from VIZ Media.
Crunchyroll Manga is available as a premium add-on to the streaming service, with unlimited ad-free reading across mobile, tablet and web.
There’s offline reading, two-page spreads, reading lists and recommendations too, which is useful if your manga backlog isn’t already completely out of control.
Anime and manga have always gone hand in hand, so having both sitting on the same service makes plenty of sense.
For anyone who’s ever finished an episode and immediately thought, right, where do I read the rest of this?,Crunchyroll now has an answer.
