Today, Argonaut Games announced Croc 2 Kingdom of the Gobbos for Nintendo Switch. The game will be available in Q4 2026.
Croc 2 Kingdom of the Gobbos is a remaster of the original 3D platformer with enhanced visuals and a range of quality-of-life improvements. It’s also restoring the name used during the game’s development.
Here’s a bunch of <a href="https://lnt.kwr.mybluehost.me/gachiakuta-season-2-trailer-information-broker-arc-confirmed-tsukumogami-explained/” title=”Gachiakuta Season 2 Trailer: Information Broker Arc Confirmed, Tsukumogami Explained”>information about the project:
In Croc 2 Kingdom of the Gobbos, Croc sets off for the mainland in search of his long-lost parents. However, his journey becomes a showdown as his arch-nemesis, Baron Dante, is resurrected by the Dantinis and vows revenge. Croc’s quest takes him through four distinct villages, where he rescues captured Gobbos and faces off against a roster of Guardians, including Soveena the Squid, whose obsession with Ginger Soda makes her a menace to contend with.
All of Croc’s classic moves are back, but jumping and tail-spinning are just the beginning. Croc can now triple jump, giving him extra height when he needs it most. Croc also rides minecarts, races cars and speedboats, catches air on a hang glider, and takes to the skies in a wooden airplane, across over 40 levels of open-ended 3D platforming.
Croc 2 Kingdom of the Gobbos delivers a blend of traditional platforming action with modern enhancements, preserving the feel of the original while introducing another generation to its enduring charm.
As with the Crocipedia in the first remaster, Argonaut Games is once again assembling an in-game digital museum. The Croc2pedia offers fans a behind-the-scenes look at the making of Croc’s sophomore adventure, including never-before-seen development materials, cut content, and interviews with the original and remaster teams, tracing the game’s creative evolution from early concepts to final completion.
Mike Arkin, co-CEO of Argonaut Games, said of the announcement: “We’ve made no secret of the fact that if Croc did well in the market, the obvious next project would be to remaster Croc 2. Croc’s successful return exceeded what we hoped for, and that made the decision easy. Croc 2 was originally built on a totally different engine to Croc, posing its own set of remastering challenges, but the early work we did to validate our approach paid off.”
Jez San OBE, Argonaut’s founder, sadded: “Croc 2 was always the plan, once we saw how fans embraced the first remaster. It’s a real pleasure to see the next chapter in Croc’s story brought to today’s modern platforms, and I can’t wait for both longtime fans and new players to experience it in glorious HD.”
