Comic Con India 2026 is coming to Navi Mumbai for the first time

Here’s what to expect from this year’s comic-city-pop-culture fest: from cosplay and comedy to manga and music

Comic Con India is returning in 2026, with Delhi and Vizag on the calendar and Navi Mumbai joining the line-up for the first time. The Delhi edition of Comic Con India 2026 has now been announced, while the addition of Navi Mumbai marks the festival’s first foray into the city, giving fans in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region a new option closer to home.

Since its Indian debut in 2011, Comic Con India has grown from a single pop-culture convention into one of the country’s biggest gatherings for comics, gaming, cosplay and fandom. Last season, the festival travelled to 11 cities and drew more than 3.5 lakh attendees, making it its biggest season yet.

Now, with Navi Mumbai added to the 2026 calendar, Comic Con India is expanding its footprint once again. And, yes, this is Navi Mumbai, not Mumbai: fans from the city have traditionally had to make the trip to Mumbai for their Comic Con fix.

How to book tickets to Comic Con?

Tickets are available all over the place: BookMyShow, District and Skillbox. Or you could just visit the Comic Con website directly for passes.

While the Superfan tickets sit on the costlier side (approximately ₹3,500), a single-day pass, valid for either of the two days, will cost you considerably less at ₹500. Both passes get you an exclusive manga, a limited-edition Absolute Batman poster and a commemorative Chacha Chaudhary X Comic Con India bag. The Superfan passes, however, also come with a Superfan Box packed with exclusive goodies.

If you’re looking for an even cheaper way to attend, join them as volunteers. Register on their website and wait for their reply by email. On the table are exclusive goodies, behind-the-scenes access and professional recognition. Not at all a bad deal, especially when there are no student passes.

For Delhi and Navi Mumbai, only the Superfan early-bird passes, costing approximately ₹3,000, are on the roll for now. While the line-ups for these two cities are yet to come out, here’s everything to expect at Vizag Comic Con.

What’s happening at Vizag Comic Con?

While a part of the roster is yet to be revealed, Vizag Comic Con has largely announced everything they’re planning, starting with some crazy vocal work by C-Shor, a Vizag-based independent hip-hop artist and rapper, and Telugu hip-hop artist Roll Rida. The comic in Comic Con comes from performances by Kumar Varun, Bengaluru-based comic Gokul Kumar and Hyderabad-based Vivek Muralidhara. Next in line is Fluteboxers, a duo featuring a flautist from the north and a beatboxer from the south. Also performing is 9Teen, an indie-pop trio blending 2000s nostalgia with a fresh modern sound.

Comic Con is heavy on performances, sure. But it’s also inviting artists like Mumbai-based artist collective Urban Tales, doodle master Ubharta Kalakar by Dhruv, multimedia artist duo Lilorosh and anime artist Dizon Draws. They’ll be sharing the stage with some folks from the studio-publishing space, like Yali Dream Creations, Studio Kapi, Holy Cow Entertainment and Bullseye Press.

If you’ve heard of Rage Sage, they’re also coming. This Indian manga universe features more than twenty virtual races, game worlds and fantasy books, spanning 500-plus chapters.

What’s the Cosplay N’ Slay contest?

Some people like to call this contest the most interesting part of Comic Cons. They aren’t completely wrong. The Cosplay N’ Slay contest is a chance to step into the shoes of any pop-culture character, be it comic-book superheroes, anime icons, movie characters or gaming legends. Held every day of the event, the contest is open to all, with solo and group entries. Registration is usually on-ground at the cosplay desk and is free with a valid entry pass. This year’s plan is yet to be announced.

Register for any of their multiple categories like comic books/graphic novels, movies/TV/animation, Anime/Manga, Sci-Fi/Fantasy, gaming or group cosplay (minimum two participants). Costumes can be store-bought, though handcrafted or modified ones are likely to score higher for craftsmanship. Judges look at all these details.

You do it for fun or for money: the best cosplay of each day takes home a grand prize (last year, it was ₹30,000), while category winners receive goodie bags.
