The long-awaited ports of Call of Duty: Black Ops and Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 are available nowon PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, and what’s better, they cost just $20 each for PS Plus subscribers. It has been stated that there are no major updatesto each of the core games

Additionally, you can get the full season pass for both games, unlocking all the post-launch map packs, for $30, but again, PS Plus subscribers get another deep discount, taking them down to just $9.89 each

Black Ops Ports Drop on PlayStation

Activision has released the highly anticipated Call of Duty: Black Ops and Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 ports on PlayStation. Per the store listings, both of these versions are separate, and there are no cross-platform mechanics, which means PlayStation 4 users cannot play with PlayStation 5 users

Treyarch hasn’t done anything to remasterthese games, leaving them much as they were when they came out, aside from any technical upgrades introduced by the evolved components inside the respective consoles. It’s stated on the PlayStation Store:

Experience the original Call of Duty®: Black Ops, first released in 2010, now available on PS4 and PS5 for the first time

Black Ops, which, as the quote says, came out in 2010 to an overwhelmingly positive reception. It kickstarted an entire sub-series of Call of Duty titles that’s still going strong today, with the most recent release, Black Ops 7, having dropped just last year

Black Ops 2 is widely considered to have the best multiplayer platform in the entire series, and it was where Call of Duty’s esports scene was arguably born
