BluPetal Licenses The Black World is Dyed in White Chalk & Last Heaven Manga

English manga publisherBluPetalannounced the license acquisition of two new manga titles at its Anime Expo 2026 panel:The Black World is Dyed in White ChalkandLast Heaven. 

Both manga will have a standard and limited edition release, which include an autographed bookplate, and will be released around the first quarter of 2027 in print and digital format. Pre-orders are also now open on BluPetal’sonline shop.

The Black World is Dyed in White Chalk 

Synopsis:

Additionally, BluPetal revealed at its panel that it has entered into an agreement withAnimate Internationalto be the “sole agent and subdistributor” for its English localized titles in worldwide English markets, beginning in October 2026. With the agreement, the publisher will be “responsible for sales, metadata, and retailer relationships” for Animate International’s manga titles. 

The publisher also confirmed partnerships withConsortium Book Sales & Distributionto help distribute its books, as well as with Japanese publisher Kaiohsha to support its Gush Comics Boys’ love manga imprint. 

In addition, BluPetal is developing an app and subscription platform that will feature manga, light novels, and audio dramas.
