GKIDS has debuted an English-subtitled trailer forBaku Kinoshita’sThe Last Blossomanime film, ahead of itsrelease in North American theaterson August 30, 2026 and August 31, 2026. The anime film will screen in its original Japanese language with English subtitles.
Kinoshita directed and served as character designer forThe Last Blossom, withKazuya Konomotoas scriptwriter and original creator andMichinoku Togeas concept artist.CLAPis in charge of the anime film’s animation production and planning.

Former yakuza Akutsu is serving life in prison after a middling career in the underworld. On the night he lays dying in his cell, he reminisces with his only companion, a smart-mouthed flower growing out of a can, about the choices that brought him here, the woman he loved, and a child he would give everything to protect.
