Marvel Television and Marvel Animation took over the Empire Stage at New York Comic Con on Thursday, treating fans to a first look at some of the highly anticipated TV series coming soon to Disney+.
Host Brandon Davis moderated the event, welcoming Marvel Head of Television, Animation, Comics & Franchise Brad Winderbaum to the stage. (Marvel Comics Editor-in-Chief Stephen Wacker also helped kick off the panel, teasing some of the exciting news coming to the pages of Marvel Comics.) Joined by a slew of special guests, Winderbaum revealed an exclusive look at all the thrilling series coming soon — from VisionQuest and Daredevil: Born Again Season 3 to more Marvel Zombies and the just-announced new series Zodiac.
Here, we break down all the biggest Marvel Television and Animation news out of NYCC 2026.
ZODIAC
Winderbaum kicked off the panel with some breaking news, revealing the official title and logo for the just-announced Zodiac. This brand-new Marvel Television series will debut on Disney+ in 2028, and although Winderbaum remained tight-lipped about what to expect, he did confirm that Zodiac will be a “spy thriller” and begin filming this spring.

MARVEL ZOMBIES
The undead will rise once again. Winderbaum confirmed that Marvel Zombies will return for more, with three new two-part event series. Marvel Zombies: The Winter Soldier arrives just in time for Halloween 2027, while 2028 will introduce a new chapter with Marvel Zombies: The Fist of Khonshu. Finally, the story will conclude in 2029 with Marvel Zombies: The Last Guardian. “I won’t tell you who the Last Guardian is, but it’s very, very exciting,” Winderbaum added.
And of course, Winderbaum promised, fans can expect plenty of gory zombie goodness. “We’re about halfway through animatics, and it is a blood-splattering good time, but it’s also quite beautiful,” he teased. “I still can’t believe Disney+ lets us get away with it.”

X-MEN ‘97
To me, my X-Men! Fans got an exclusive first look at X-Men ‘97 Season 3, continuing the story of everyone’s favorite mutants. (The footage shown in room teased the return of the Brotherhood of Mutants, as well as wedding bells for Gambit and Rogue.) The new season will premiere in 2027, with a fourth season planned for the future.
“We’re hard at work on the third season, and it’s incredible,” Winderbaum teased. “I mean, I’m actually getting choked up thinking about one of the episodes right now.”
YOUR FRIENDLY NEIGHBORHOOD SPIDER-MAN
Thwip! You Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man creator Jeff Trammell then took the stage to tease an exclusive look at Season 2, debuting on Disney+ on January 13. The new season finds Peter Parker (voiced by Hudson Thames) facing off against new challenges and a familiar black symbiote suit.
“In Season 1, we got to see Peter start out as Spider-Man,” Trammell told the crowd. “He’s learning, he’s growing, he’s got a man in a chair, he’s got a mentor. None of that for Season 2. In Season 2, he’s ready to go, and he’s got big threats. He might need a little help. And, you know, sometimes that help comes in the form of inky black goo from space.”

DAREDEVIL: BORN AGAIN
NYCC isn’t far from Hell’s Kitchen — so a few familiar heroes stopped by to surprise fans. Daredevil: Born Again’s third and final season will debut in 2027, and three of the original Defenders — Charlie Cox, Krysten Ritter, and Finn Jones — took the stage to debut an exclusive first look at new footage. (Mike Colterwas unable to attend due to a last-minute scheduling conflict, but the cast said he sent his regards.)

VISIONQUEST
The panel concluded with a special appearance by VisionQuest stars Paul Bettany, James Spader, Ruaridh Mollica, and Emily Hampshire, joined by showrunner Terry Matalas. Together, they opened up about the next chapter in Vision’s journey and his complicated relationship with the infamous Ultron (Spader).
The new series premieres October 14, only on Disney+, but NYCC attendees got a special surprise, as the cast treated them to an exclusive screening of the first episode.
