New York Comic Con kicks off today, and there are going to be all sorts of surprises and reveals throughout the weekend. Following our exclusive Ghost Face figure debut yesterday, NECA has another nightmare on display: the Offspring fromAlien: Romulus.
A photo shared by Preternia gives us a look at the creature’s action figure, complete with those ridiculously long limbs, exposed-looking rib cage, and unsettling human face. This thing was uncomfortable enough on a movie screen. Now you can have it staring at you from a shelf.

If you need a refresher, the Offspring is the rapidly growing human-alien hybrid born after the pregnant Kay, played by Isabela Merced (The Last of Us), injects herself with the experimental compound developed aboard the space station. What follows is a particularly fucked-up delivery and the movie’s final nightmare.
And yes, there’s a real person inside that costume. Robert Bobroczkyi, the 7-foot-7 former basketball player, brought the Offspring to life in his film debut. He subsequently played Pirate Clark in Backrooms, giving horror fans another impossibly tall creature to lose sleep over.
Fede Álvarez essentially approached Alien: Romulus as a slasher in space, sending a group of young scavengers into a derelict space station packed with things that want to kill them. And it did considerably better than just okay: the film earned $350.9 million worldwide against a reported $80 million production budget.
More Alien is on the way, too. As we previously reported, a Romulus sequel remains in development, while Brian Duffield (No One Will Save You) is reportedly developing a separate film.
For now, check out NECA’s Offspring above. Pricing, accessories, and release details weren’t included in the reveal photo.
