It’s been over a year since the announcement that Mattel had regained the license to produce DC toys previously held by McFarlane Toys. While the toymaker has already begun rolling out waves of their kid-oriented action figure line, adult collectors have had to wait patiently to see what Mattel has to offer for them. That wait is now over, as today at New <a href="https://comicvibe.com/we-watched-visionquests-first-episode-at-new-york-comic-con-its-a-trip/" title="We watched 'VisionQuest's first episode at New York Comic Con. It's a trip.”>York Comic Con Mattel offered a first look at their 6.5″ adult collector action figure line, and unveiled the line’s first offering, a Mattel Creations exclusive figure and diorama set based on Batman: Hush.

Here’s how Mattel describes the set, which is priced at $100 and is available to preorder now:

The DC Premium Batman: HushRooftop Bat-Signal Diorama Setis inspired by the legendary Batman:Hush an essential Batman story defining the Dark Knight for an entire generation of fans. Featuring an unforgettable cast of DC Super Heroes and DC Super-Villains including Catwoman, The Joker, Superman, Nightwing, Robin, Poison Ivy, Harley Quinn, Killer Croc, Huntress, and The Riddler, the story remains one of DC’s most influential comic arcs

Bringing the comic artwork to life, this new set includes a highly detailed Batman: Hush figure with 34 points of articulation, an oversized wired cape inspired by Batman: Hush’s iconic comic book cover, and interchangeable hands. Batman stands atop a comic-inspired Gotham City rooftop diorama featuring a removable gargoyle and a working water-based fog effect, recreating the atmosphere of the original artwork. The set also includes a functional Bat-Signal that projects onto nearby surfaces, while the premium packaging doubles as a display backdrop, creating a complete, shelf-worthy tribute to one of Batman’s greatest stories.

Batman’s headsculpt captures Lee’s style nicely, and the Batsignal base looks fantastic. Adding “a working water-based fog effect” to the whole thing is truly some DC Next Level work.

The Batman: Hush Rooftop Batsignal Diorama Set is just a taste of what Mattel has planned for their adult collector line. The company will host a livestream event on January 1st to reveal their full lineup of releases for the year, both for adult and kid collectors.

Check out a few more images of the newly-revealed diorama set below, and head to mattelcreations.com to see even more photos and to preorder the set.
