Twitch streamer Morgan “Frogan” has appealed for donations to help cover $73,000 in outstanding legal fees following the dismissal of a lawsuit brought against her by Ethan Klein’s company.
Frogan shared the update on X, revealing that her legal expenses had exceeded $100,000. “I still owe $73K after it costing well over $100K,” she wrote, asking supporters to contribute towards the remaining amount.
“Please donate to help cover my legal fees, so that I do not have to think about Ethan ever again,” she added.
Her fundraising campaign on GoFundMe had set a target of $200,000 and had raised $45,491 at the time of reporting. The appeal comes after the copyright dispute was voluntarily dismissed, leaving Frogan with substantial legal costs despite the case ending.
Ted Entertainment Inc., the company behind Klein’s online content, voluntarily dismissed the lawsuit without prejudice on September 8, 2026. A dismissal without prejudice means the case has ended but may be filed again, subject to applicable legal requirements.
The lawsuit was filed in June 2025 and accused Frogan, fellow streamer Denims and Kacey “Kaceytron” of copyright infringement. The dispute centred on their reaction content involving Klein’s video, Content Nuke – Hasan Piker. Frogan has maintained that her use of the material constituted fair use.
The legal battle unfolded amid wider tensions between online creators and streamers over reaction videos and the use of copyrighted material. Frogan’s latest appeal highlights the financial burden that legal disputes can leave behind, even when a case is no longer proceeding.
The lawsuit is separate from recent allegations involving Klein’s personal life. His wife, Hila Klein, has recently made public allegations of infidelity against him, but those claims are unrelated to the copyright case involving Frogan.
