Kristen Bell has some help keeping up with the home front, even when her job takes her away.
“I’ve been in and out of town for the past like six weeks because of this press tour, which is always like, as a mom, you get nervous to leave town, but then you realize they’re fine,” The Nobody Wants This star explained Thursday on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. “I’m not getting any calls from the school that they’re absent. I get home, no one has stitches.”

Bell and Dax Shepard, her husband since 2013, are the parents of daughters Lincoln, 13, and Delta, 11.
“Here’s what he didn’t consider: I have a mole on the ground, obviously,” Bell said. “So, I was getting, like, in-house paparazzi photos from my oldest daughter going like, ‘It is 10 p.m., we’re supposed to be in bed, but Dad is in the cereal cupboard, and he’s just like going hog wild.'”
Fallon noted that Lincoln “took sneaky photos,” and he flashed one that showed the Armchair Experthost really diving into a late-night snack.
“That’s my girl right there!” Bell said.
Fallon observed that Shepard was “going cuckoo for Cocoa Puffs.”
The cereal was a change, Bell said. Because, usually, when she leaves town, Shepard and her daughters are into another kind of snack.
“I usually receive, almost immediately, notifications on my phone,” Bell said. “Your McDonald’s has been delivered.” “Your Taco Bell has been delivered.” It’s all — they just eat fast food.”
Shepard said at a <a href="https://people.com/parents/kristen-bell-dax-shepard-say-parenthood-is-the-greatest-thing/” rel=”nofollow noopener” target=”_blank”>March 2023 SXSW panel that, for him, “nothing compares to being a dad. It is the greatest thing that has ever happened to me.”

He continued, “When I have failures in life, I get to come home and still be dad. It is the most transformative experience. You can feel it’s why you are here.”
Not that it’s always easy.
Bell explained to Bustle this week that marriage and parenthood are as tough for her as they are for anyone else.
“It’s hard,” she said. “Do not think because I am on your television that it is easy for me. It’s brutal. I cry weekly.“
