Hellraiser 2 received There’s a big new patch today Players will feel burned and betrayed ahead of Free Fire War Bonds later this week. The update brings huge changes to the existing flamethrower, which is no longer able to melt heavily armored enemies with ease, and the community has openly revolted against an unexpected intergalactic fire crackdown.

Gaming Week: Co-op Bug Blasts and More New Releases

this August 6 patch Bringing some great features to help refresh the hit 2024 co-op shooter, including a new difficulty mode, new mission objectives, and fixes for some notorious bugs. But some miscellaneous notes buried within the update appear to be the cause of all the trouble. These changes don’t involve the flamethrower directly, but rather its fire effects and how the game system handles those effects. Here’s how they read it:

    • Adjusted fire effects to be more realistic.
    • It will not travel through various objects/objects where bouncing would be expected behavior, such as on armor and static objects.

This was a seemingly innocuous fix that turned many players into bug food. Earlier this year, Players are discovering that flamethrowers are basically the bane of the Charger for Hellraiser 2 Enemies can easily deflect bullets. While it’s not meta-breaking, it makes situational tools more useful than they otherwise would be. With today’s changes, the flames no longer appear to be able to reach the Chargers’ weak spots, or easily ignite burns in other weak spots.

It’s also less fun to use. “The flamethrower can no longer kill the Charger,” wrote Players on the subreddit. “No longer goes through their leg armor. It also feels terrible to use and the recoil is too high. The other one is more concise. I love that they took away my favorite weapon and made it It becomes useless. “

The timing of the change is particularly controversial. freedom fire war debt, Hellraiser 2The next battle pass will launch on August 8 with new fire-based weapons. But many players feel this is a mean way Since their existing flamethrower has been nerfed, it may force them to pay for a new battle pass.

Such changes have long been a sore point Hellraiser 2, However. While Arrowhead has rebalanced the game in various aspects in an attempt to keep the game challenging and let players explore different ways to play, it also feels like the studio is constantly taking away fan-favorite toys. Players discover that a weapon is really good at something, they use it religiously for months, it becomes a cornerstone of the community’s culture, and then they get killed in a new update. For some, this is what keeps the game growing, but for others, it’s a reason to take a break.

“I’m level 140 and have been playing since launch. I’m with the nerfs guys. At least make some sense! wrote One fan who was particularly demoralized. “I think people complaining are crazy, but I’ve been here a long time and now I see the pattern: nerf the weapon, force everyone to use the new version. Ah saw this version, nerf it, make the enemy ten times stronger times.

Not everyone is against the nerfs. Some players have discovered new ways to use the flamethrower, which still makes it an effective bug-killing machine, but it requires better positioning and execution. One theory is that the new behavior will more closely mimic the way the new fire-based weapons behave, making them consistent with each other. Still, it’s easy to see why players who’ve been casually enjoying the game itself would feel burned out by the constant weapon balancing. We’ll have to wait until the new Warbond releases later this week to see how this all plays out.
