Paige Spiranac is getting ready for the start of the 2026 NFL season. The 2026 NFL regular season is set to begin on Wednesday, <a href="https://comicvibe.com/11-best-african-films-and-tv-shows-to-watch-in-september-2026/” title=”11 Best African Films and TV Shows to Watch in September 2026″>September 9. The New England Patriots will be taking on the Seattle Seahawks in a Super Bowl rematch. On Thursday, September 10, the Los Angeles Rams will be taking on the San Francisco 49ers in Australia. There will then be a full set of games on Sunday, followed by an exciting “Monday Night Football” matchup between the Chiefs and Broncos.
But while most people have just one NFL team to root for heading into the 2026 regular season, Spiranac is different.
The popular golf influencer, who is known for her on-course outfits, shot videos and more (and now cooking videos!), has been trending for her controversial NFL fandom as we head into the 2026 season.
Spiranac has made it clear – and defended – over the years that she roots for multiple teams, including both the Steelers and the Lions. And the Bills…and it’s something that she likes to defend.
“Both my parents are from Pittsburgh so I’ve been a Steelers fan since the day I was born. I also love the Bills. It’s a complicated relationship…Who’s your team?” she previously asked her followers.
“Feel free to photoshop my outfit to fit your favorite team,” the golf influencer added. “I don’t want anyone hating me.”
NFL fandom is whatever you want it to be
While most people would disagree with the idea that you can root for more than one NFL team, rigid sports fandom rules are dumb.
Root for whoever you want. Whether it’s one team or five, sports are something that are meant to be enjoyed.
If Spiranac gets more enjoyment out of rooting for several teams than one, then good for her, right?
