According to Game File, Asha Sharma thinks that Minecraft has been “massively underinvested,” especially when compared to Roblox
Of course, Roblox is a gaming titan and offers a platform for players to make their own games, whereas Minecraft is more known for its multiplayer, sandbox survival gameplay. That said, it was noted that both titles, differences aside, were comparable in size around six years ago
Since then, though, Roblox has seemingly gone clear, with estimations that Roblox has been investing “more than five times as much in its business as Microsoft has on Minecraft.”
It’s uncertain whether Asha Sharma intends to bump the investment into Minecraft, but based on her latest statement detailing the XBOX layoffs and redirection, it could be likely. She notes that there will be a shift in investment to focus on higher priority projects at certain studios, with Mojang, the developers of Minecraft, included in the list

In addition to that, she explained that Mojang (and King) will now report directly to her, stating that the two studios provide the largest active monthly players. She’s well aware that Minecraft is a pillar of success, but how could its development change with these restructurings? We’ll have to wait and see
