Come on down (and collect your Emmy).
After 30 years of working in Hollywood, Linda Cardellini finally won her first Emmy—and taking home the Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie trophy is something she is still coming to terms with.
“I feel so honored,” the DTF St. Louis actress exclusively told E! News backstage at the Creative Arts ceremony in downtown Los Angeles on Sept. 6. “It’s an amazing feeling. I feel very, very grateful.”
Calling the honor both “shocking and exciting,” the 51-year-old explained why the celebratory moment was actually a bit jarring.
“In this business, we put it on film and then months later, sometimes a year later, it comes out,” she added, “so it’s nothing so immediate. But this is a very immediate feeling when your name’s called.”
TheFreaks and Geeksalum even likened the experience to her past stint on a beloved long-running TV game show.

“I was on The Price Is Rightonce and they called my name to come on down and it was a similar feeling of being chosen and jubilation,” she joked. “Although, this one I worked for, so that was nice.”
And while both are priceless milestones, playing Plinko could never compete with taking home an Emmys statue.
“It was a dream to be on The Price Is Right, but this is really a dream come true since I was a little kid,” Cardellini reflected. “I love television and to have an award from television is pretty wonderful. I’m flattered.”
Of course, Cardellini was in good company as her DTF costar David Harbour also won in the Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie.
Much like Cardellini, the Stranger Things alum felt, well, strange prior to accepting his award.
“It’s kind of an out-of-body experience to be honest,” Harbour confessed to E!. “There’s just so much build-up.”
Thirty years of build-up, to be exact, followed by a few more excruciating hours.
“You’re also sitting there for two and a half hours watching all these things,” the 51-year-old continued. “I think during that time, the adrenaline courses through your body and you get weird and then you get tired and then you get happy and then you get tired again.”
