The biggest announcement at San Diego Comic-Con didn’t happen during Marvel’s Hall H panel. It came immediately afterward during Kevin Smith’s annual Hall H extravaganza. And this announcement is especially big if you’re a massive fan of cozy farming sims and Jay and Silent Bob because the mad scientists at Nitrate Games are combining them to make Jay and Silent Bob’s Joint Venture. To celebrate the game’s announcement, a veritable Avengers of awesome entertainment companies came together to send off Comic-Con in style at the Blunt Objects party.

Presented by Nitrate Games, Sassy Chap Games, Nightowl Studios, and Nerdist, the invite-only Blunt Objects party took place at Vin de Syrah and brought together luminaries from across the worlds of gaming, entertainment, cosplay, and beyond for an unforgettable evening. With themed cocktails, elaborate costumes, first looks at Jay and Silent Bob’s Joint Venture, and immaculate vibes, the Blunt Objects party ensured high spirits on Comic-Con’s biggest night.

The event marked the announcement of Jay and Silent Bob’s Joint Venture, an upcoming cozy farming adventure with a distinctly View Askewniverse twist. Developed by Starworks Studios and published by Nitrate Games, the game puts players into business with New Jersey’s most legendary slackers as they transform a rundown backyard into a thriving operation. Players will grow and crossbreed unusual strains, customize their setup, explore locations including the Quick Stop, RST Video, Mooby’s, and the Mall, and interact with characters from across Kevin Smith’s cinematic universe. The game is currently planned for release on Steam in 2027.

The evening also celebrated Date Everything!, the breakout sandbox dating simulator from Sassy Chap Games that asks an important question: What if nearly everything in your home—from appliances to abstract concepts—were a potential romantic partner? Created by a team led by Robbie Daymond, Ray Chase, and Logan Burdick, Sassy Chap Games is continuing to expand its creator-led approach to original gaming properties and cross-platform entertainment.

Take a look at everyone who brought immaculate vibes to this joint venture. The step-and-repeat photos were taken by Zachary Wikholm and the party photos were taken by Aya Jalil.
