Disha Patani’s sister, Khushboo Patani, has voiced her support for the ongoing student protests at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar, revealing that she attended the CJP’s Chalo Sansad march in disguise to witness the demonstration firsthand. Sharing videos and photos from the protest on Instagram, Khushboo said she covered her face with a mask and wore a cap before joining thousands of students on the streets.

In a post and also sharing stories on Instagram, Khushboo praised the conduct of the protesters, particularly the young men, saying she never once felt unsafe despite the massive crowd. According to her, many men consciously kept their hands raised above their heads while walking to ensure they did not accidentally make inappropriate contact with women in the packed gathering.
“I’m a fan of Gen Z now,” she said, applauding the students for what she described as their discipline and peaceful approach throughout the protest.
Khushboo also spoke about the police action that followed as protesters marched towards Parliament. She claimed that although students vastly outnumbered law enforcement personnel, they chose not to retaliate despite facing force during the crackdown.
“Lakhs of students were there and law enforcement was only in thousands. They could have done anything, but our Gen Z students chose peace. They took the lathi blows but did not raise their hands,” she said, adding that she witnessed several students being injured.
The former Army officer also claimed that women protesters were among those who bore the brunt of the police action.

Recalling her own experience, she said she was caught in the chaos while trying to run from the scene and was also struck during the crackdown.
The CJP-led protest, which has been underway at Jantar Mantar for nearly a month, is demanding education reforms, accountability over NEET paper leak and the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. The movement gained further momentum after activist Sonam Wangchuk joined the agitation with an indefinite hunger strike.
Monday’s âChalo Sansad’ march ended in clashes between protesters and police. While Delhi Police alleged that demonstrators turned aggressive and violated prohibitory orders, protesters claimed that excessive force, including lathi-charge and tear gas, was used against them.
Several public figures, including Shabana Azmi, Prakash Raj and Pratibha Ranta, have expressed support for the students. Despite talks with government representatives, the protest continues at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar.
