Xbox Game Pass is getting a new free game that feels like the collision between Valheim and Dungeons and Dragons, and if you’re a fan of survival games with fantasy elements, be sure to check it out. Even though some of the biggest releases within the genre have died down a bit in comparison to their popularity at launch, the genre is still thriving with new releases and ways of engaging in survival-themed experiences. Winds of Valen is a new survival game that mixes gameplay elements from Valheim and is also seemingly inspired by Game of Thrones, for example.
However, this is far from being the only one. In fact, Microsoft’s subscription service is about to integrate a title in the genre into its catalog, so members of Xbox Game Pass will be able to play it for free. As announced in a post on Xbox Wire, there are seven new games being added to the various Xbox Game Pass tiers in the first half of September, categorized as Wave 1.
