While Ubisoft’s NFT efforts haven’t made broad headlines in years, it turns out, they did have one other project still going. There was a blockchain-based turn-based RPG called Champions Tactics. It won’t be around for much longer though, as it is now shutting down.

Champions Tactics first launched in 2024, with each in-game character doubling up as an NFT. As spotted by VGC, Ubisoft recently made the decision to stop supporting the blockchain aspect of the game. Beyond that, the publisher will be taking the servers offline permanently at the end of October.

The game is being “sunset” but will remain playable until the 30th of October. Once the servers go offline, access to the game ends and downloads of it will no longer be offered. In the meantime, microtransactions have also been disabled ahead of the shutdown.

Ubisoft didn’t garner much support for its initial NFT platform, Quartz, which integrated with Rainbow Six Siege to offer a series of cosmetic items as NFTs. Quartz doubled as a marketplace for these tokens. Ultimately, the project didn’t garner a significant userbase and support has effectively ended. It would appear the same has happened with subsequent NFT projects.

KitGuru Says: Ubisoft’s push for NFTs didn’t garner much support online. Maybe Ubisoft has decided its money is better spent elsewhere.

‘Clayface: Celebrity Dirt’ #1 is one of the coolest debuts of the year

    By JamesJuly 8, 20260

Clayface has always been a favorite of mine when it comes to the Batman’s rogues gallery. That largely comes from the stellar two parter “Feet of Clay” from Batman: The Animated Series, a series of episodes that condensed the long and convoluted story of Clayface into a singular and tragic narrative
