Popular Salvadoran streamer Carlos Mauricio Gómez, better known as El Komanche, has died at the age of 30 after reportedly being found dead at his home in Monterrey, Mexico.
His death was confirmed on October 26 by his representative, Byron Reyes, who said he had spoken directly with the content creator’s family.
According to EFE, Komanche was discovered dead at a residence in Monterrey, although the cause of his death has not been officially confirmed.
Infobae reported that neighbors noticed the property’s front door had been left open since the previous day. The owners subsequently entered the residence over concerns about a possible robbery and discovered a body.
Initial reports indicated there were no visible signs of violence, but authorities have not publicly confirmed the circumstances surrounding his death.
Reyes also addressed online harassment in an Instagram story, writing: “Bullying on any scale is no joke,” translated from Spanish. However, no official findings have linked harassment to Komanche’s death.

Komanche was best known for helping organize the Squid Craft Games alongside AuronPlay and Rubius. The hugely popular Minecraft competition was inspired by Netflix’s Squid Game and attracted some of the biggest names in Spanish-language streaming.
He had amassed approximately 1.7 million followers on Twitch and nearly 1M on Instagram.
His death sparked an outpouring of tributes from fellow creators, including AuronPlay, who revealed they had spoken just four days earlier.
“Komanche, my friend, this hurts, this hurts so much. We were talking just four days ago,” he wrote on Instagram, translated from Spanish.
